Who We Are
Established in 1999, Sky Blue Education has been connecting private and academy schools with businesses to meet all their procurement needs, from accounting services to waste management and everything in between. We have dedicated businesses who have geared themselves specifically towards working with schools.
Over half of all schools have now opted to convert to ‘Academy Status’, which gives them complete control of their finance and purchasing decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for businesses looking for a new and stable market but poses a challenge for schools who are now responsible for all purchasing decisions.
Since 1999 we have grown from producing a yearly handbook listing all our suppliers to having a fully functional and live procurement website, working closely with the schools across the UK to provide the services they require.

Online Procurement Channel
Our interactive online procurement channel is the first point of contact for our schools. This portal lists all the approved contractors and suppliers in the local area and beyond. All our suppliers and contractors have been vetted before joining. Saving our schools time and money in the procurement process. Each of our vetted companies has a unique profile page giving schools a snapshot of who they are and what they can do.
Handbook of Procurement
Made available for free to around 30,000 schools nationwide, the Headteachers’ and Bursars’ Handbook of Procurement is the company’s flagship publication and has been designed to provide educational buyers with easy access to a range of companies offering products and services to schools.
